DataTwin Presented at SpinOff Europa Conference 2026
The DataTwin project was showcased at the 5th edition of the SpinOff Europa Conference 2026, one of Europe's leading events dedicated to technology transfer, science-based innovation, and university spinoffs.

Held under the vision of fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship, SpinOff Europa brought together more than 400 speakers and participants, alongside over 40 pioneering spinoffs. The conference serves as a dynamic platform connecting researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation stakeholders to accelerate the transformation of groundbreaking ideas into successful ventures.
Representing GATE, Radoslav Rizov, Project Manager, delivered a presentation on the emerging European ecosystem of Data Spaces and the opportunities created through trusted data sharing. He introduced the DataTwin project as an example of how organisations can unlock strategic business value from their data by leveraging digital twins, advanced data infrastructures, and collaborative data ecosystems.
During his presentation, Rizov highlighted the growing role of Data Spaces in enabling new business models and innovation opportunities for university spinoffs and technology startups. He demonstrated how participation in trusted data-sharing environments can help organisations access new markets, create innovative services, and strengthen collaboration across sectors.
The presentation also showcased GATE's state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure and research projects available to support spinoffs in developing and testing innovative solutions. Participants learned about the opportunities offered by GATE's ecosystem for accelerating innovation in areas such as artificial intelligence, smart cities, and data-driven technologies.
